Vanessa completed her Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. Although living in the United Kingdom for two years was a great adventure, she is excited to be back in the community where she grew up. Prior to leaving for Scotland, she worked as a physiotherapy assistant at Saanichton Physiotherapy Clinic and is happy to re-join the team on the Peninsula.
Since graduation Vanessa has completed extensive coursework related to vestibular rehabilitation for the differential diagnosis and management of vertigo, migraines, concussion and headaches. She is a certified IMS (intramuscular stimulation) practitioner and has an interest in pain sciences.
Vanessa highly values an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time outdoors enjoying the beautiful nature we are spoiled with on Vancouver Island. With a background in triathlon and now a keen mountain biker, Vanessa has had her share of injuries to rehabilitate and therefore understands how important it is to be able to ‘get back to doing what you love to do’. This experience as a patient is what originally inspired her to pursue a career in physiotherapy, and now working with patients to achieve their own goals is her priority as a therapist.
She aims to provide positive guidance and motivation to help you get back to doing what you love to do.
